Super Eagles assistant captain, Troost Ekong has corrected the erroneous notion that people have about his many body tattoos.
Fielding questions from reporters in Lagos, the Salernitana FC loanee said his body tattoos are tied to his roots
“(The tattoos) on my arm pay homage to my roots – being a Nigerian and spending a lot of time in Nigeria,” he told Pulse Sports.
“I think that is one thing people don’t know – that when I was a kid I spent a lot of time in Nigeria.”
“I wasn’t born here but i was here (in Lagos) four months out of the year. My father still lives in Lagos,” he added.
Troost-Ekong, has represented Nigeria 49 times and scored four goals.
