Ayoola Akinyoola, a renowned Nigerian comedian known as Kamo, has taken to social media to share an interesting conversation he had with veteran actor Ganiu Nofiu, widely known as Alapini.
This conversation comes after Kamo successfully led a crowdfunding initiative to gift a new car to Lalude, a popular actor famous for his role as a herbalist in movies.
Taking to his Facebook page on Friday, Kamo disclosed that Alapini, Lalude’s colleague in the entertainment industry, reached out to him expressing a desire to also receive a car from fans.
“Baba Alapini Reached Out To Me, It’s So Sad That Our Legends Are Not Getting The Accolade They Deserve. He Is The Next We Will Be Making Happy Guys,” Kamo wrote on his social media page.
Alongside his statement, the comic actor shared a video narrating how a fan generously donated new phones to Nollywood veterans Lalude and Alapini Osa.
Kamo further confirmed his commitment, along with his fans, to contribute funds to purchase a car for Alapini. He emphasized that these veteran actors played a pivotal role in the development of the Nollywood industry and should enjoy the benefits it offers.
The comedian concluded by stating that he has taken it upon himself to celebrate movie legends every month.
