Less than one hour after he was suspended from office, the embattled Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS.
Emefiele was earlier suspended on Friday by
President Bola Tinubu.
The controversial financial expert has been under investigation by the secret police on allegation that bothers on terrorism financing.
Tinubu also appointed Mr Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the acting Governor of the CBN, in replacement for Emefiele.
