Big Kick-Off: NPFL Super 6 gets underway in Lagos today

Football fans in Nigeria will have to brace-up for the inferno that comes with today’s football fixtures as first Manchester Derby of English FA Cup finals at Wembley Stadium colides with Nigeria Premier League Super Six.

Both matches will kick-off simultaneously as Enyimba face Remo Stars for Super Six opener at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Sporting Complex

Cities in Nigeria will be divided just like in Manchester, but lovers of local football are expected to besieged Onikan to cheer their darling team while other have their eyes fixed on FA Cup finals.

Super Six Friday draw for the season-ending competition at the GTI Group headquarters in Lagos will see Remo Stars  get the action underway against eight times champions Enyimba in the first game (2pm).

Sunshine Stars will then take on Rivers United (4pm), while in-form Bendel Insurance will square up with Lobi Stars in the last game of match-day one at 6pm.

Remo stars captain, Junior Nduka, is already talking tough ahead if the clash against Remo Stars

“We have put in a lot of hard work through the season and we are going to maintain it. Our first game is against Enyimba and we met in the regular season. I’m sure we will match them as always,” Nduka said after the draw

Three matches would be played per day at the NPFL Super 6, as the six teams take on one another in a round-robin format till Sunday June 11, when the table toppers
