Contrary to speculation making the rounds, Nollywood star actress, Toyin Abraham said her support for Tinubu presidency was not in any way motivated by religion or ethnicity.
Gorgeously dressed in Ankara Aso-Ebi outfit, Toyin, who expressed joy and relief after Tinubu was sworned in as Nigeria’s 16th president on Monday, maintained that Tinubu’s antecedent for encouraging economic growth and infrastructural development while in office as Governor of Lagos State remains the only drive behind her support for the president.
She stressed that she was not in any way moved by series of backlashes from friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
” My support for President Tinubu had nothing to do with religion or ethnicity. I have so much belief in him because of his record while he was Lagos State governor and as a Senator.
” He is my kind of leader and his records speak for him,” she said.
Toyin then appealed to the President to listen to the concerns of the people and address their fears about the future to restore public confidence.
