United State government lived-up to its promise by imposing visa ban on certain Nigerians who undermined the country’s democracy during Nigeria’s 2023 elections.
Recall US government vowed to imposed visa ban on politicians for aiding and abetting violence during Presidential and gubernatorial elections.
US Secretary of States, Anthony Blinken made this declaration on his verified Teitter handle on Monday evening.
“We have imposed visa restrictions on specific individuals who undermined the democratic process during Nigeria’s 2023 elections. We remain committed to supporting Nigerian aspirations to strengthen democracy and rule of law”. Blink en said on Twitter.
Although, names of affected individuals have not been made public yet, but word was rife that National Union of Road Transpirt Worker (NURTW) chieftain, MC Olumo could be in the lists after his video where he threatened to unleash mayhem on Igbos in Lagos went viral after Labour Party swept the stakes in the Presidential election
