Word was rife in London on Wednesday that Paris Saint Germain resolve to pull the plugs on Victor Osimhen’s race may have put Manchester United on the driving seat among suitors eyeing his signature.
The Red Devils have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of the striker, following reports that he could snub Paris giants.
Osimhen has enjoyed an excellent season at Napoli, scoring 26 goals in all competitions this term.
His prolific form has subsequently caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old has been heavily rumoured with a summer move to Old Trafford. Although Erik Ten Hag was forced to cool his pursuit after PSG emerged as frontrunners for his signature.
But Osimhen could snub the Ligue 1 club, with talks now more ‘concrete’ with Manchester United, according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.
