The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday dismissed the endorsement of Peter Obi by Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Tinubu while speaking at a rally in Benin, the Edo State capital said that Obasanjo is trying to deceive Nigerians by endorsing Peter Obi.
Tinubu also criticised Nigeria’s former vice-president and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, stating that Atiku cannot boast of any good job that he has done for the country and described him as a customs officer who cannot define the ethics of civil service provision.
In the meantime, Tinubu during his campaign in Benin, went on to state that if elected into office, he would provide jobs, and turn Internet fraudsters known as Yahoo Boys into experts at manufacturing and creation of chips then, in his usual fashion delivered some incomprehensible words.
In another development, The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party Rabiu Kwankwaso has also reacted to Obasanjo’s endorsement of Peter Obi, stating that it is wrong for any person who is considered a statesman to go about endorsing candidates ahead of the February 25th presidential election, adding that those leaders endorsing candidates are disgracing themselves.
Finally, last month, the Independent National Electoral Commission commenced the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards at its local government offices nationwide, however many Nigerians have complained that they are yet to recieve their voter cards just weeks to the Presidential elections next month. A video now making the rounds on social media showed voters in front of an INEC office in Abuja, that are yet to receive their cards.
