Senator Sani Musa felicitates with Muslims at Eid-el-Fitr

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Mohammed Sani Musa, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the country and all over the world on the celebration of the Eid-el-Fitr .

In his message by his Media Office, Senator Musa congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, stressing that witnessing another Eid-el-Fitri was a special privilege from the Almighty Allah who has control over the destiny of man.

He said that the 30-day spiritual exercise, had drawn the faithful closer to Allah and urged them to keep on practising the lessons learnt from the holy month in their relationship with their Maker and fellow human beings.

The Lawmaker also urged the citizens to be vigilant and celebrate in moderation, noting that the current situation in the country and globally has made it imperative for Muslims and adherents of other religions to live in love, peace and harmony with one another, and seek the face of God in prayer for divine intervention.

Sani Musa is one of the front line contenders in the current jostle for the office of the President of the Senate, as he has declared his interest in the highly competitive position.

He has however, said that he would consider going for the office of the Deputy President of the Senate, if the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), resolved to zone the office with ethnic and religious consideration, stressing that he would step down for a qualified Christian contestant.

He explained that he would make the sacrifice as a nationalist and patriotic loyal party man, who places national interest above selfish ambitions, noting that he would do anything to ensure the peaceful co-existence of the various ethnic and religious groups in Nigeria.

According to him, he is sensitive to the agitations that trailed the Muslim-muslim Presidential and Vice ticket of the President-elect and Vice President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, respectively.

Senator Musa pointed out that, now that elections had been won and lost, all political stakeholders, must do everything possible to unite the country, by pacifying those aggrieved and feeling a sense of marginalisation.

Many individuals and groups have been calling on the leadership of the APC and the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure that Musa is rewarded for his hard work, which contributed to the party’s victory in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Those canvassing support for Musa include: APC diaspora groups, North West Youth group several Civil Society organisations and prominent individuals across the regions of the country.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the APC hs indicated that it would come up with a zoning arrangement, for the emergence of officers in the leadership of the 10th National Assembly after the Ramadan.
