Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to address the security challenges in the state.
Fintiri stated this at a one-day capacity building workshop for security stakeholders organised by the Nigeria Maritime Administrative and Security Agencies (NIMASA), in Yola on Thursday.
Fintiri, who was represented by his Security Adviser, Senabi Crowther, said that the administration in the last three years had achieved relative peace in the state.
He assured that the government would procure more sophisticated security gadgets to assist in detecting and tracking criminals.
He thanked NIMASA for the workshop, saying it could not have come a at a better time than now.
He appreciated the efforts of security agencies in the state and urged them to do more.
Dr Bashir Jamoh, Director General, NIMASA, called on the stakeholders to actively participate and proffer solutions to insecurity in the state and country at large.
