Irked by the rumour making the rounds on social media lately, Mavin Records boss and music producer, Don Jazzy has stated in clear terms that he has never purchased “fake streaming farm” to strengthen the digital streaming number of his artists.
The music producer was accused by fans that he alongside other record label owners engage in jacking up streaming numbers of their musicians through streaming farm.
“There’s no goddamn f*cking streaming farm. Or I don’t know whether people have it. But take it from people like us that are succeeding that are at the forefront. I’m telling you that there’s no goddamn streaming farm.
He then encouraged aspiring artists to shift their attention to creating perfect music by promoting their songs rather than rely focus on creating excellent music and promoting their songs instead of relying stream-boosting techniques.
“Don’t sit down there and be assuming ‘this person is getting here because there’s a streaming farm somewhere’. Trust me, it’s just going to be affecting you. You will be thinking that it’s unattainable. You cannot get it. Ogbeni, you are doing yourself a disservice.”
