APC investigates Aregbesola, Amosun ovet anti-party activities

All Progressive Congress (APC) bigwigs have opened investigations into allegations levied against the duo of  Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and other party members over alleged anti-party activities.

Days before the party’s governorship primary election, Aregbesola had declared in clear terms why politics of godfatherism and enthronement by treacherous leaders should end in the party.

A decent source revealed that the probe will assist the leaders to determine possible punishment for those being investigated.

The source said the national leadership directed the state executive to collate names, addresses, and the ward of members alleged of anti-party activities during the July 16 Osun State gubernatorial election and the just conducted 2023 election.

He added that the National Working Committee (NWC) has also given the same directive to all state executives across the country.

Recall that Aregbesola had publicly moved against the second-term ambition of Governor Oyetola, and endorsed the former Secretary to the State Government, Moshood Adeoti. However, Adeoti later lost to Oyetola at the APC governorship primary election held on February 19, 2022
