Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has poured cold water on speculations making the rounds that he deliberately stay behind in Lagos to lobby for the Chief of Staff portfolio in Tinubu cabinet, iwitnesslive.com can report.
Gbajabiamila’s absence at the INEC headquarters where he was expected to pick up his Certificate of Return had fuelled speculations that he is lobbying to become Tinubu’s chief of staff, but the speaker maintained that he stayed back in Lagos to support APC campaign ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
“I don’t know anything about that chief of staff thing,”
” I could not leave Lagos because I was campaigning for my party…”
“It’ll interest you to know that I was not here four years ago to pick up my certificate because I couldn’t make it,” Gbajabiamila responded.
