The Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu has floored the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar in Jigawa as the result of the 2023 general election in the state were revealed.
Tinubu polled 421,390 to defeat Atiku who scored 386,587,
Peter Obi of the Labour Party recorded 1,889 while Rabiu Kwankwanso of the NNPP scored 98,234.
Meanwhile, Tinubu, is so far leading in the presidential election conducted in Sokoto state after results from 10 local government areas were officially declared.
According to the results, Tinubu won five local government areas with 101,608 votes.
Tinubu is closely followed by the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar who also won five local government areas with 98,080 votes.
