Nigerian music star, Simi has decried a series of attacks unleashed on voters during last Saturday’s 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Speaking from her base in the US, the musician wondered why adequate security was not put in place to checkmate hoodlums who stormed polling centers to disrupt voting.
“How can you even support anything that is this blatantly corrupt? Didn’t you see the chaos yesterday? The thugs? The disenfranchisement? Regardless of who you support, shouldn’t all of us be fighting for justice and a fair election? What is your priority? Can’t you read the room?” Simi tweeted
Simi is currently based in the US with her young family.
