The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has showered encomium on the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC for its efforts at ensuring that all goes well ahead of today’s presidential elections, iwitnesslive.com can report.
Fielding questions from reporters in Kano on Friday, the Chairman of the Kano chapter of ACF, Dr. Faruk Umar, praised INEC for putting adequate preparation in place ahead of the election.
He also lauded security groups for ensuring that all election materials are delivered as when due at the respective locations without any undue hijacking, which was a major experience in the past.
Farouk then urged party leaders to keep their word and operate within the peace pact that was signed ahead of the election. He further appealed to Nigerians to come out and observe their civic right without any fear.
“ I want to personally praise INEC and the security agencies for the good job well done. The moment has come and I urge Nigerians to freely cast their vote.
“ Our security agencies deserve a pat on the back for ensuring that all election materials get to their respective destinations too,” he said
