Fast-rising gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo has shed more light on the reasons behind her choice of fashion which displayed her preference for wearing beret instead of headgear or hat while on stage.
Fielding questions from a reporter in Lagos recently, the newly-married artiste revealed that the desire to be unique with her craft and style promoted her choice to always put on a beret.
She stressed that all she wanted to achieve is to be different from others, adding that she was equally impressed that her love for beret has evolved into an online business at Mecempire on Instagram.
“I just needed to be different. I felt I needed to be unique with not just my craft but also my style. And that’s how beret wearing came about. It has now evolved into an online business at Mecempire on Instagram. In one word, my fashion style is modest,” she told Guardian.
