Naira Notes: Shehu Sani urges Ganduje to revoke CBN C of O in Kano

Following the revocation of the certificate of occupancy of commercial banks in Kano State over scarcity of the redesigned Naira notes, Senator Shehu Sani, has advised the state government to face the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

Sani in a tweet on his Twitter handle said the commercial banks are not the problem but the Central Bank that gave them directive.

He challenged Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of the state to revoke the C of O of CBN branch in Kano if he is really angry with the federal government and Presidential Muhammadu Buhari over the monetary policy of the apex bank

Senator Sani said, “If Kano is really angry, revoke the C of O of the Central Bank Branch in your state and not that of the commercial Banks.”

Iwitnesslive recalled that Governor Ganduje had at the weekend revoked the C of O of commercial banks in the state over their refusal to dispense new naira notes.
