Davido Becomes First African Artiste To Perform in the PFA Awards

Nigerian music sensation, Davido, enthralled the audience with his performance of the viral track ‘Unavailable’ at the Professional Footballers’ Association Awards held last night.

The ceremony recognizes exceptional players from the 2022/23 season, and it came as little surprise that Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka secured the prominent men’s awards.

Davido’s appearance marked a historic moment as he became the first African artist to grace the award stage, which celebrated its 50th-anniversary edition on the same night.

During a casual jog while on vacation following his triumphant season, Manchester City’s Phil Foden enjoyed Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ as part of his playlist. Although Foden had clinched the previous two Young Player of the Year awards, he was not present at last night’s gala, as he did not receive any accolades.
