At a time he is getting most of the accolades for his role in rescuing Nottingham Forest from the dropping to second tier of English football, instead, Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has ascribed his club’s survival to God and his secret spiritual effort.
Awoniyi, who is currently holidaying in Ilorin said he had enbarked on two days revival after it dawned on him that Nottingham would need divine intervention if they are to escape relegation.
During on of the sessions at the ministry, Awoniyi took time to appreciate his maker and ENI’s Apostle Selman for helping his football career.
”The day I was privileged to see Pastor Joshua Selman, he prayed for me and that was the turning point of my life,” Awoniyi started during his testimony time.
“Every time I used to listen to Daddy’s sermon and that has really helped. Before the season ended, I went for revival for two days in which I told my wife that I won’t be at home and I am that we escaped relegation,” he added
