Nigeria Not Included as Trump Plans Travel Ban on 43 Countries

U.S. President Donald Trump is set to introduce a new travel ban affecting 43 countries, according to a report by Reuters. The proposed ban categorizes countries into three groups—red, orange, and yellow—based on security and immigration concerns.

Nigeria, along with other major African nations like South Africa, Egypt, and Algeria, has been left off the list. However, many African countries are included in the restrictions.

The red group consists of 11 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Syria, and North Korea, whose citizens will be completely banned from entering the U.S. The orange group has 10 countries, such as Russia, Pakistan, and Myanmar, where visa approvals will be severely restricted.

The yellow group contains 22 nations, including Angola, Cameroon, Liberia, and Zimbabwe. These countries have been given 60 days to address U.S. concerns before any restrictions take effect.

The travel ban is part of Trump’s broader immigration policies, which he has intensified in his second term. While the list is yet to be finalized, U.S. officials have indicated that changes could still be made before it is officially approved.
