Mother of four slips, dies while fetching rainwater in FCT

A tragic incident occurred in Bako village in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on on Thursday, June 6 after one Mrs. Maimuna Aliyu, a 32-year-old housewife, slipped and tragically passed away while fetching rainwater.

According to a neighbor, identified only as Usman, the accident happened around 8:12 am. Mrs. Aliyu, a mother of four, lost her footing and slipped while carrying a basin to collect water during heavy rainfall.

Her husband and two of their children had already left for the farm when the unfortunate incident occurred.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital while unconscious, but despite efforts to save her, she was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor. As of now, the FCT police command has not provided any comments on the incident.
