Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen seems doubtful for Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 double-header clash against Guinea Bissau later this month after the forward suffered wrist injury on Wednesday night.
Napoli’s progress to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League did not come without a price as their talisman bagged a brace in Napoli’s 3-0 win over E/ Frankfurt.
His first goal came right in first-half stoppage time when he nodded in for the first goal of the night but later hurt his wrist badly when he bundle in his second goal of the night in the 53rd minute.
Osimhen was later bundled off nine minutes to stoppage time as he held on to his bandaged wrist. He is expected to undergo a test today to ascertain the level of injury.
