Isoko South APC Mobilises for Delta Campaign Flag-Off in Oleh

The Isoko South chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified preparations to host the Delta State campaign flag-off scheduled for November 5, 2026, in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area.

The Local Government Campaign Coordinator, Sir Itiako Malik Ikpokpo, KSM, gave the assurance after a meeting of the campaign committee and an inspection of Oleh Stadium, venue of the rally.

Ikpokpo said the committee had put the necessary structures in place to ensure a hitch-free event, adding that sub-committees had been constituted and responsibilities assigned to facilitate effective coordination.

He said the local government was ready to welcome Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other leaders and members of the APC family in Delta State for what he described as a major political gathering.

“We have concluded a productive meeting and inspected the venue for the campaign flag-off. We have taken critical decisions, established sub-committees and assigned responsibilities to ensure that every aspect of the event is properly coordinated,” he said.

Ikpokpo added that the committee was working to mobilise party faithful and residents for the rally, expressing confidence that Oleh would provide a fitting venue for the state-wide campaign launch.

“Our preparations are in top gear. We are determined to give the governor and the entire Delta APC family a warm reception. Our people are enthusiastic, and we are working towards a successful rally,” he said.

He described the forthcoming event as an opportunity to demonstrate the party’s strength and unity in Isoko South, while calling on members and supporters to participate actively in the preparations.

The committee’s meeting and inspection were part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, streamline activities among the various sub-committees and ensure adequate arrangements for the expected influx of party leaders and supporters.

The meeting was hosted by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Dr. Godwin Adolor.

Those in attendance included the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko; member representing Isoko South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Ferguson Onwo; and the APC candidate for Isoko South Constituency I in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Lucky Idoveh Sabon.

Also present was the Delta State APC Organising Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders.

The November 5 rally is expected to mark a major step in the APC’s campaign activities in Delta State, providing a platform for party leaders to engage supporters, consolidate their political structures and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

With preparations gathering momentum, the Isoko South APC leadership says it is determined to make the Oleh flag-off a successful outing for the party.
