APC denied access to Mapo Hall in Ibadan for Presidential Campaign rally

A report has emerged that the request made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State to use the premises of Mapo Hall for its presidential campaign in the state has been declined by the government.

News revealed that the decision not to allow the rally in the hall was communicated in a letter to the party by the Ibadan Local Governments Properties company signed by its Principal Executive Officer 1, Akano Musibau.

The rejection letter read: “I have the directive of the management to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 20th October, 2026 with respect to the above subject matter.

“I am further directed to inform you that the proposed date is not available based on the fact that it has been booked by another applicants earlier.”

The rejection might not be unconnected to the presidential ambition of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who is running against President Bola Tinubu.
