Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has denied any involvement in an alleged $2.1 million Abuja land deal, telling an FCT High Court that the signature on a disputed land document was forged.
Jordan, who is a lawyer, also told the court that he does not know the claimants, Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited. He further maintained that he was not even in Nigeria when the alleged payment was said to have been made.
Testifying in the suit marked CV/008/2026, Jordan said he neither received money from the claimants nor signed any agreement relating to the alleged land transaction.
“I did not receive any money from anybody. I did not sign any document for land deal. I only found out that my signature was on the land document just like anyone else in this court yesterday (Tuesday),” he told the court.
Jordan also denied knowing anyone named Onor Sandy, whom the claimants allegedly linked to the transaction.
“I never had any friend named Onor Sandy and I did not have any deal with anyone regarding land deal,” he said.
The claimants allege that Jordan agreed to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares of land each in Katampe and Guzape, Abuja, in a transaction valued at $2.1 million. They further allege that he failed to provide the land or refund the money.
However, Jordan disputed the claims, saying he was in London on September 26, 2025, the date the claimants alleged the payment was made.
To support his account, he presented a photocopy of his American passport to the court. He also pointed out that the passport number appearing on the disputed document had expired in 2022.
A police investigation report attached to Jordan’s court filings reportedly stated that the claimant did not provide sufficient evidence to establish that the alleged payment was made. The report also recommended prosecution over allegations including defamation, giving false information and attempted extortion.
