President Bola Tinubu has dismissed the speculation that he embarked on the 30-fay working vacation to Europe to attend to his health.
The President while speaking to journalists after are ing Lagos on Tuesday declared that he was fit sound and ready to resume work.
According to him, the concerns on his I’ll heath were the handiwork.of his political enemies adding that his return has put the rumour to rest.
Asked what he would do on return, Tinubu said: “Ready to kick, ready to work, there is nothing wrong…well rumour will always be emanating from politics, but the fact remains I’m here, healthy and sound and ready to go.”
Speaking on the President’s arrival, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, who was among senior government officials and political leaders that received Tinubu at the airport, said he expected the President’s period of rest to translate into increased activity by the administration.
“It is incredibly nice to have him after one month away, and we believe that the days he has spent resting will translate into more action this time around.
“We believe that he will come with renewed vigour, a renewed hope to continue serving the good people of Nigeria,” Abbas said.
