The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appealed to its members and supporters in Gombe State to ensure peaceful and orderly conduct during its forthcoming governorship re-run primary.
The fresh primary is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the party announced.
The State Publicity Secretary of the party, Abdulkadir Ahmed Dukku, said the re-run followed the nullification of the governorship primary held on May 26 by the Federal High Court in Gombe.
Dukku said eligible card-carrying members are to converge at their respective ward centres to cast their votes for the governorship aspirant of their choice.
The party urged all members, supporters and well-wishers to cooperate with the electoral process and maintain peace and order before, during and after the exercise.
The PDP said adherence to the directives would contribute to the smooth conduct of the re-run primary.
