The Coalition of APC Support Groups National Coordinators has called for strategic partnerships, institutional support and sustainable funding opportunities to strengthen its structures and grassroots engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Coalition made the call when its national executive members paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the National Assembly Library Trust Fund (NALTF), Henry Nwawuba, in Abuja.
The delegation, led by the National Convener of the Coalition, Comrade Richard M. Onyebuwa, presented the organisation’s vision and objectives and sought guidance on building stronger relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Onyebuwa said the Coalition was established to provide a coordinated platform for APC support groups and their national coordinators to work together, strengthen grassroots structures and improve coordination among member organisations.
He added that the Coalition was interested in partnerships that would enhance its capacity for grassroots engagement, leadership development and other programmes.
Responding, Nwawuba welcomed the delegation and advised the Coalition to develop a credible and sustainable organisational framework, stressing the importance of strategic relationships and partnerships in achieving its objectives.
He also encouraged the Coalition to explore collaboration with the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), chaired by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, as part of efforts to strengthen coordination among support structures.
Nwawuba further advised the group to identify legitimate and sustainable funding sources to support its programmes and organisational activities.
In his remarks, the National Director-General of the Coalition’s Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. AlHassan Mohammed Baba, thanked Nwawuba for receiving the delegation and for the guidance offered during the meeting.
Baba said the advice and observations from the engagement would be considered as the Coalition continues to develop its structures, programmes and relationships with stakeholders.
The Coalition said the visit formed part of its broader efforts to build a coordinated network of APC support-group leaders across the country and strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 political season.
The organisation said it would continue engaging relevant stakeholders as it develops its programmes and committees.
