The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and Co-Convener of Nigeria Forward (NF), Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, has urged Nigerians to assess government policies and projects based on their practical impact on communities rather than political slogans.
Udeh spoke at the formal unveiling of Nigeria Forward at Barcelona Hotel, Abuja, where he said the platform would provide citizens with information on government projects, investments, opportunities and programmes.
According to him, Nigeria’s development should be viewed through the tangible benefits of infrastructure, connectivity, production and job creation.
He said roads should connect farmers to markets, while railways should help reduce the cost of transporting goods and people.
Udeh also identified energy and digital connectivity as critical areas for expanding opportunities for young Nigerians.
He described the development trajectory being promoted by the movement as “reform to infrastructure, infrastructure to connectivity, connectivity to production, production to jobs and jobs to prosperity.”
The minister called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, arguing that continuity would allow the administration to consolidate its reforms and ongoing development initiatives.
He said Nigeria Forward would operate as a platform for grassroots engagement, enabling citizens to understand government interventions while also communicating community concerns to relevant authorities.
Udeh urged members of the movement to make evidence, inclusiveness, innovation and national unity the foundation of their activities.
Earlier, the group’s Co-Convener and Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, called on Northern political stakeholders to respect the informal power-rotation arrangement between the North and South.
Waiya said the group believed that allowing Tinubu to complete an eight-year tenure would provide continuity in governance and reduce the possibility of renewed sectional tensions.
The Nigeria Forward Project was formally unveiled in Abuja on September 18, 2026, with national unity, citizen engagement and development among its stated objectives.
