Apple TV emerged as the biggest winner at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles on Monday, with its productions dominating several major categories.
Apple TV’s Widow’s Bay led the night with 14 awards, making it the most successful production at this year’s ceremony.
The Pitt was another major winner, securing seven awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, while its star, Noah Wyle, won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in the medical drama.
DTF St. Louis also claimed seven awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, while Pluribus finished the night with six awards.
Among the individual winners, Matthew Rhys had a particularly impressive night. He won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow’s Bay and also took home Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series for The Beast in Me.
The 78th Emmy Awards, one of the biggest celebrations of television excellence, brought together leading actors, producers, writers and other television professionals at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The awards recognised outstanding performances and productions across drama, comedy and limited or anthology series.
