A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Dayo Ogunjebe has called on residents of Ogun State to queue behind the aspiration of the Governorship candidate of the party, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon popularly known as Yayi.
In a statement he issued in Lagos on Friday, Ogunjebe stated that the fortunes of the state and its residents would be better off in the hands of the member representing Ogun West in the Senate.
Ogunjebe also lauded the leadership of the party in the state for settling for the choice of the federal lawmaker which he stated has further united the APC in the state rather than divide.
“Democracy is a market place of ideas where ideas clash. For us in Ogun State, we had plethora choices that were opened to the party.
“I mean to say that the APC in Ogun is not in short supply of quality aspirants to choose from but in the end, Senator Adeola Solomon emerged as the consensus candidate in a non-acrimonious manner or process.
“What is even more intriguing is the generally wide acceptance that his choice has forged within the Ogun State chapter of the APC unlike what obtains in other chapters of the party,” Ogunjebe wrote.
On why the people of the state should support Senator Adeola, Ogunjebe stated that, “The general wide acceptability of Senator Adeola is a pointer to the fact that his tenure would offer positive and impactful change that our dear needs at this material time.
“I am however urging our people to join forces with the APC and the candidature of Senator Adeola to rework and remake our dear state to become the best in the comity of states,” he concluded.
