Supporters of the coordinating minister of health and social welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate have described his leadership and contributions to Bauchi State as evidence of a changing political landscape, saying his impact extends beyond partisan politics to healthcare and human development.
The group under auspices of Bauchi Forward Initiative (BFI) said Pate, who they described as a leading figure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, had continued to attract recognition for his contributions to his professional career and the political space.
According to the chairman of Bauchi Forward Initiative (BFI), Muhammad Bello Abdulkadir, said the recognition reflects what they called his daily commitment to public service and efforts to influence development across the state and the country.
Abdulkadir also highlighted Pate’s contribution to healthcare infrastructure, particularly the development and strengthening of teaching hospitals and tertiary health institutions in Bauchi State.
He said his interventions in the health sector had also created opportunities for young graduates and other Nigerians through employment and human-capital development across health-related agencies.
The BFI chairman expressed optimism that the state could witness further development if Dr. MA Abubakar emerges as governor in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
He added that such an administration would be expected to prioritise infrastructure, employment and human development, with the ultimate goal of positioning Bauchi as a model for other states.
He however used the medium and called for increased support from stakeholders ahead of its planned political mobilisation activities across Bauchi State.
Abdulkadir specifically appealed to supporters and stakeholders to assist the initiative with at least three vehicles in each local government area to facilitate campaign mobilisation and enable members to attend political gatherings across the state.
According to him, the initiative is seeking a leader who would prioritise justice, commitment, compassion and truth in governing Bauchi State.
He said the person they support is driven by the desire to improve the lives of citizens and provide responsible leadership.
The BFI chairman also urged young people to engage in politics with decorum, warning against insults, character assassination and abusive language during political activities.
He said political differences should not be allowed to destroy relationships, stressing that political fortunes could change with time.
