Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has continued her impressive international run as her latest album, Starrgirl, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
The 16-track album, released on August 14 through Mavin Records and Republic Records, sits behind Stray Kids’ This & That, CORTIS’ GREEN GREEN and ATEEZ’s Golden Hour: Part.5. South African singer Tyla’s APOP occupies the fifth position.
Starrgirl is Ayra Starr’s third studio album, following 19 & Dangerous (2021) and The Year I Turned 21 (2024). The project features Nigerian and international stars including Wizkid, Rema, Zayn, Leon Thomas, kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora.
The album has also performed strongly on other platforms, peaking at No. 8 on the UK R&B Albums chart and No. 27 on the UK Album Downloads chart. It also reached No. 100 on France’s SNEP Albums chart, while topping Spotify’s album chart in Nigeria and recording several No. 1 positions on Apple Music in different countries.
