Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commended the security agencies in the state for the rescue of three kidnapped victims in the state.
One suspect was apprehended at a criminal’s hideout at Atabula in Duduguru, a community in Jenkwe Development Administrative Area in the Obi local government Area of the state, while two others were tracked down at a hotel in Lafia.
The security agencies also burnt down the makeshift camp of the criminals and recovered cash including five mobile phones amongst other items.
The governor also lauded security agencies in the state for their vigilance and commitment to tackling crime and criminality across the state.
Sule gave the commendation on Thursday, following the recent rescue of a kidnapped victim and subsequent arrest of three suspects allegedly involved in the abduction of a citizen in the state by the Department of Security Service, DSS.
The governor described the arrests as a demonstration of the effectiveness and dedication of the security agencies to duty, urging them to sustain the momentum and remain resolute in the fight against criminal elements.
Sule assured the security agencies in the state of the continued support of his administration in the discharge of their responsibilities.
A press statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Addra, quoted the governor as appealing to citizens of the state to remain vigilant and provide timely, credible and useful information to security agencies, stressing that collective vigilance and cooperation are essential to maintaining peace and security in the state.
