Fintiri Constitutes Delegation for 2026 Israel Christian Pilgrimage

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has inaugurates State’s delegation for the 2026 Christian pilgrimage to Israel.

Governor Fintiri during the inauguration charged members to uphold integrity, ensure pilgrims’ welfare, and deliver a successful spiritual exercise and urged the delegation to oversee the 2026 Christian pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Israel.

The delegation is saddled with the responsibility of coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure a successful pilgrimage for Adamawa pilgrims, is chaired by His Royal Majesty Johnson Diyo Matalo, the Gubo Yungur.

Other members of the delegation include Senator Rev. Amos Yohanna, Hon. Japhet Hammajabu, Mr. Samuel Chinda, Rev. Fr. Anselm Kachalla, while Dr. Bartholomew Nyalas will serve as Secretary.

Speaking after approving the committee, Governor Fintiri congratulated the members on their appointment and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, discipline, and patriotism.

According to the governor, their selection is both a privilege and a call to service, stressing that they represent not only the state government but also the people of Adamawa.

“You have been chosen to represent the government and good people of Adamawa State, adding that this is both an honour and a responsibility. I urge you to be good ambassadors of our dear state. Conduct yourselves with dignity and ensure the pilgrimage is hitch-free and purposeful,” he said.

Governor Fintiri further directed the delegation to work closely with the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission and other relevant stakeholders to guarantee the welfare, safety, and smooth coordination of all pilgrims from the state.

He also charged the committee members to justify the confidence reposed in them by remaining transparent, accountable, and committed to the spiritual objectives of the pilgrimage.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting religious activities that promote peace, unity, mutual understanding, and moral values across Adamawa State.

The delegation is expected to facilitate effective coordination of the state’s participation in the 2026 Christian pilgrimage to Israel while ensuring the exercise is conducted in an orderly, safe, and spiritually rewarding manner.
