The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress( APC) has upheld the position of Sen Emma Anosike as the Anambra state Chairman of the party warning that it will not tolerate any act of indiscipline within the party .
It further directed that all litigations in respect of the party leadership must be withdrawn while measures are going to be taken to harmonize all interest groups within the party.
Delivering the resolutions of the Fact Finding Committee into the crisis in the party which was endorsed by the National leadership, the Deputy National Chairman of the party South Dr Ben Okoye at a stakeholders meeting of the party in Anambra said .
“We respect the state leadership of the party led by Sen Emma Anosike as the Chairman and the party is putting measures in place to harmonize and include other interests for peace to be restored in the party ”
“Yes there litigations here and there and the National leadership of the party had to go on appeal against the judgement and obtained a stay of execution of that judgement and with that stay of execution Sen Emma Anosike remains the Chairman of the party in Anambra state”
Continuing Nwoye stated that “we agreed that people should withdraw all litigations or Court matters because it leads the party to no where and there must be discipline in our party even if you don’t like it ”
“I have been expelled from the party before and at some point I left the party on my own but what remains constant is the supremacy of the party and there must be discipline in the party ”
“Of you join the party , you must abide by our rules even though you may not like it and if you are angry you can leave the party and again you have the right to go to Court but you must follow our constitution ”
Nwoye announced that inline with the laws of the party, the leader of the party in Anambra state is the Gubernatorial candidate of the party in the last election and the Deputy leader is Sen Uche Ekwunife who was the running mate .
Speaking shortly after his reaffirmation as Chairman of the party, Sen Emma Anosike stated that;
“We the members of the APC and it’s State Working Committee SWC wish to thank the National leadership of the party for ensuring peace in the party and we shall abide by the resolutions of the party at the National level.
“On the issue of reconciliation and harmonization we shall thinker ways of running an all inclusive party leadership in Anambra state and I urge all party members and faithfuls to embrace this peace as one family so that we form a formidable platform to deliver our leader President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for his second term in office because on his mandate we shall stand” he said.
