Ottawa South United (OSU) has demonstrated its commitment to youth development by donating soccer jerseys, footballs and training equipment to the Kick Out Hate Crime Tru Sports (KOHCTS) Ottawa 2026 Tournament.
Presented by Randy Hibbert, Donations Coordinator, Ottawa South United Soccer, with the endorsement of Craig Stead, Director, Soccer Operations & Community Engagement, the donation includes more than 60 jerseys, 60 pairs of shorts, 60 pairs of socks, five soccer balls, six corner flags and 16 training marker cones.
“We are proud to contribute towards this great project. We believe in youth development and in creating a better, safer, and healthier environment for everyone in Ottawa and Canada as a whole,” Hibbert said.
The tournament, organized by the Canadian Hope Transformation Initiative (CHTI), will hold on August 8, 2026, at Ottawa Technical Secondary School Field, featuring the Ottawa Police Service, Box-2-Box Academy, NAS Long Island Deck and 2-0 Moorvale Street Academy.
CHTI Founder Emmanuel Tobi thanked Ottawa South United for believing in the vision of KOHCTS.
“Beyond the equipment, this support represents a commitment to young people and the belief that sport can create positive change in our community. We sincerely appreciate Ottawa South United for partnering with us,” he said.
Tobi also acknowledged the Ottawa Police Service for helping facilitate the partnership, describing football as a powerful tool for promoting inclusion, leadership and safer communities.
