The Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has appeared before the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) to testify in its investigation into the activities of the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) on Monday.
The ‘fictitious’ agency being run by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who alleged that he bribed the Chief of Staff N400 million to get appointed, was arrested after the body was declared unknown to the government despite being allocated N1.3 billion in the 2026 budget.
Adeyemi was alleged to have forged his appointment letter as the Director-General of the fictitious agency.and was consequently arrested by the anti-graft agency for a comprehensive probe.
Gbajabiamila ‘s counsel, Jiti Ogunye, in a release made available to newsmen on Monday stated: “In full cooperation with the ICPC acting as directed by the President of Nigeria, I hereby confirm that my client, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, responded to the invitation of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and appeared at about 15:00hrs on Monday, July 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the ‘PFIPC’ fake agency, among others.
“My client gave his testimony, responded to questions accordingly, and has returned to his duty post.”
