‘Go back to your province’: South African man tells fellow citizens they are ‘foreigners’ in viral video

A video circulating on social media has sparked widespread reactions after a man in South Africa was seen confronting telecommunications workers from another province, telling them to leave because they were “foreigners” in his province.

The footage, reportedly recorded in Limpopo Province, shows the man ordering workers believed to be of Zulu origin to return to their home province, insisting they should not be working in Limpopo.

In the video, he repeatedly tells the workers to “go back to your province,” describing them as foreigners despite them being South African citizens.

The incident comes weeks after anti-immigrant protests in parts of South Africa, where some groups demanded the removal of undocumented migrants and foreign nationals from other African countries.

The latest video has reignited debate on social media, with many users arguing that the hostility appears to have shifted from foreign nationals to fellow South Africans from different provinces.
