2027: APC Women Pledge 95% Votes for Tinubu, Back Yiwalda NWC

Women who are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have pledged to cast 95 percent of their votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in next year’s presidential election.

The women under the auspices of
the Women Wing of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) also commended President Tinubu and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC for what it described as the courageous and equitable handling of the National Assembly candidates’ list for Ondo State.

The women, drawn from the 18 local government areas of the State, gave the commendation during a solidarity gathering held at the AMG secretariat, in Akure, the state capital, under the leadership of a three-time Commissioner in the state, Hon. Yetunde Adeyanju.

Speaking on behalf of the women, Mrs Adeyanju expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and the APC National Working Committee for upholding the principles of fairness, justice, and internal democracy in the management of the party’s affairs in the state.

She said the decision of the party’s leadership had rekindled the confidence of women and grassroots members in the APC, assuring that the beneficiaries of the National Assembly tickets would justify the confidence reposed in them through quality representation and unwavering loyalty to the party.

According to her, the women wing of the AMG has resolved to mobilise extensively across all the 18 local government areas to ensure overwhelming electoral support for President Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 general elections.

Adeyanju said, “We want to assure our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the National Working Committee of our total support. The decisions taken have strengthened the confidence of party members, and we are committed to working tirelessly to deliver not less than 95 per cent of the votes for Mr. President in Ondo State in the 2027 presidential election.”

The women also paid glowing tribute to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing him as a leader of uncommon political dexterity whose vision, courage and exceptional capacity for bridge-building have continued to strengthen the progressive family in Ondo State.

They commended his inclusive leadership style and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the APC, noting that he has remained a rallying point for party leaders, members and stakeholders across diverse political tendencies.

Her words: “BTO’s humility, accessibility and ability to inspire unity have made him the most influential pillar of the party in Ondo State. We urge him to please continue providing the leadership and direction that have earned him widespread admiration within the APC and beyond.”

The Director General of the AMG, Asiwaju Olumuyiwa Asagunla, who was present at the gathering, commended the women for their steadfast commitment to the ideals of the progressive family and their continued support for President Tinubu.

He charged them to remain united, disciplined and committed to grassroots mobilisation, describing women as the backbone of every successful political movement.

Asagunla urged them to sustain their engagement with communities across the State by promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and strengthening the structures of the APC at the ward and local government levels.
