APC Completes Gombe Candidate Nomination, Presents INEC Forms to Flag Bearers

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its internal nomination process for the 2027 general elections in Gombe State with the presentation of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to its governorship and National Assembly candidates.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya presented the forms during a ceremony at the Government House in Gombe on Saturday, describing the exercise as the final stage of the party’s nomination process before submission to INEC.

The APC governorship candidate, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, alongside the party’s senatorial candidates—Governor Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe North), retired Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohammed Deba (Gombe Central), and Hon. Jerry Joseph Damara (Gombe South)—received the nomination forms.

Also presented with the forms were the six House of Representatives candidates: Hon. Usman Bello Kumo (Akko), Hon. Ali Isa JC (Balanga/Billiri), Hon. Fatima Binta Bello (Kaltungo/Shongom), Hon. Inuwa Garba (Yamaltu/Deba), Hon. Sadam Bello (Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye), and Hon. Jamilu Shabewa (Dukku/Nafada).

Governor Yahaya said the candidates would complete the required documentation for upload to the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal in line with the Electoral Act and the commission’s guidelines.

He congratulated the candidates on emerging through the party’s direct primaries and urged them to remain united as the APC prepares for the 2027 elections.
