2026 World Cup: Iraq, Uruguay, 10 other  eliminated teams (FULL LIST)

The list of countries eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup has risen to 12 following the latest round of group-stage matches played on Saturday.

Iraq, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand became the newest teams to exit the tournament after failing to secure places in the Round of 32.

Iraq’s hopes of progressing were ended after suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat to Senegal, who climbed to third place in Group I with the emphatic victory.

New Zealand were also knocked out after a crushing 5-1 defeat to Group G leaders Belgium.

Uruguay bowed out following a narrow 1-0 loss to Spain, while Saudi Arabia’s goalless draw against Cape Verde was not enough to keep their qualification hopes alive.

With the group stage nearing its conclusion, 16 teams will ultimately fail to reach the knockout rounds, meaning four more countries are expected to join the list of eliminated sides.
