The Bauchi State Police Command has commenced a comprehensive investigation into the suspected murder of a 33-year-old man, Aminu Najamu, whose lifeless body was discovered in his room in the Gwallaga area of Bauchi Local Government Area.
According to press release signed by the Command PPRO SP Nafi’u Habib Saturday in Bauchi, said the deceased entered his room on June 7, 2026, but was later found dead on June 9 under circumstances that have raised suspicion.
The PPRO said, following the report, operatives of the ‘A’ Division, Township, carried out preliminary investigations before transferring the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a more detailed and discreet probe.
Nafi’u further said SCID detectives have already taken over the matter and are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death as well as identify and arrest anyone connected to the incident.
Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, assured residents that the Command is committed to ensuring justice is served, urging members of the public with useful information to assist investigators.
He reiterated the Command’s resolve to combat violent crimes and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.
