Some unknown gunmen on Tuesday night raided the Immigration Office located on the Ogbomoso- Ilorin New Expressway, near the NNPC Filling Station in Oyo state.
The attack reportedly occurred at about 10pm while the nearby Ayanyan Cattle Market was alive with activities, as police officers on duty were being dispossessed of their guns. Though unspecified number of guns was unknown but the criminals reportedly carted them away.
Some reliable sources within Ogbomoso, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying, “no where is safe any longer. We are just battling with the kidnap of 45 teachers and students who are still in the forest running to about 20 days. Yet, this one has happened again. I don’t know what Nigeria is turning into”, he lamented.
When contacted the PPRO Oyo state Police Command, Olayinka Ayanlade, said he had not been briefed about the incident. He promised to confirm when he is ceased of the facts of the attack.
