Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has felicitated with Muslims in Bauchi State and across the world on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging the faithful to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience and peaceful coexistence.
In a Sallah message issued on Tuesday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the governor said Eid-el-Kabir symbolises total submission to the will of Allah as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
He called on Muslims and other Nigerians to use the festive period for reflection, prayers and renewed commitment to unity and mutual understanding irrespective of religious, ethnic or political differences.
The governor urged residents of Bauchi State to continue supporting government policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people and promoting sustainable development.
According to him, citizens should also pray for lasting peace, security and economic prosperity in the state and the country at large.
Governor Mohammed congratulated Muslim faithful for witnessing this year’s Eid-el-Kabir and reassured them of his administration’s commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, healthcare delivery, education, youth empowerment and protection of lives and property.
He also advised residents to celebrate responsibly and extend kindness to the less privileged in the spirit of the season.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and good people of Bauchi State, I wish the entire Muslim Ummah a peaceful, joyous and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” the governor stated.
