Kogi APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Sweeps all Votes in landslide

President Bola Tinubu has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in Kogi State, securing every valid vote cast in the exercise.

According to results announced by the Returning Officer and Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, Tinubu polled 197,370 votes out of 197,370 accredited voters. His sole challenger on the ballot, Stanley Osifo, recorded 0 votes.

Governor Ododo, while declaring the results at the collation center in Lokoja, described the process as “peaceful, transparent, and a clear demonstration of the party members’ unanimous choice” in Kogi.

Party delegates and stakeholders who monitored the primary said voting commenced early across the 21 local government areas, with heavy turnout in key LGAs including Lokoja, Okene, and Dekina. Security agencies were deployed to maintain order, and no incidents of violence were reported during the exercise.

With this result, Tinubu claims all of Kogi’s delegates in the APC presidential primary race. The state’s outcome adds to his tally as collation continues nationwide.

The Kogi APC chairman commended members for what he called “total loyalty to the party’s leadership and vision,” urging them to replicate the unity in the general election.
