Big Brother Naija former housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, is elated following recognition from the Guinness Book of Records for her outfit at the AMVCA.
It was reported that at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards on May 9th, the reality TV personality wore an unusual outfit. The dramatic dress, created by designer Toyin Lawani of Tiannah’s Empire, reportedly featured around 500 loaves of bread and was intended to promote Atang’s bakery brand, Swit Cakes & Desserts.
The outfit went viral and remained a trending topic on social media for days. Hollywood media outlet, Daily Mail, even covered it.
Following the viral outfit, Guinness announced it would review the outfit, as there is already a record for the largest cake dress in the world.
“Well, we do have a record for the largest cake dress. Hmmm”.
Reposting their comment, Queen expressed gratitude for the recognition.
