The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Senator David Mark, has rued the exit of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and his New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) counterpart Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, from the party, but said their exit would spur them to work harder.
Obi and Kwankwaso left the ADC on Sunday and pitched tent with the newly registered Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mark who spoke on Wednesday while addressing forum of ADC former federal lawmakers, said though “the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact but that will spur us to work harder.”
He assured that ADC would sponsor candidates that can win elections in 2027.
“We must close our ranks and avoid issues of factionalisation.
“Our opponents are bringing renegades as one-man factions. We shall overcome all their shenanigans.
“Nigerians are already with us and we all need to be on board. That is why I urge us all to work together and succeed together,” the former President of the Senate stated.
