Why RCCG will not remove Remi Tinubu as pastor – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has made it clear that Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will not be removed from her position as an ordained pastor in the church.

Adeboye stated this while speaking during the monthly Holy Ghost Service today.

The cleric explained that Oluremi Tinubu was ordained as an Assistant Pastor more than ten years ago, long before her husband, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, showed any intention of running for the presidency.

He emphasised that the First Lady went through the full process of ordination and has not violated any of the church’s guidelines.

He added that the church will not bow to external pressure calling for her removal.

On the 2027 presidential election, he said the individual who will lead Nigeria has already been ordained by God.

He also made remarks about the insecurity affecting Christians in northern Nigeria while rejecting claims that the church has remained silent.

The pastor stated that the church has continued to provide support through internally displaced persons camps and welfare initiatives.
